About Us

We are a pioneering and continually growing company with more than forty (40) years of experience in the electric power industry, particularly in power distribution. We also have considerable experience in power generation, especially in the early stages of the company. We are an active member of the Philippine Electric Plant Owners Association composed of privately owned or investor-owned utilities. We can be proud that, over the years, we have maintained our high marks in terms of our financial viability, market performance, customer service and social responsibility.

In recent years, when electric companies were under close scrutiny due to renewed public interest in the purchased power adjustment (PPA) issue, LUECO’s rates has been among the lowest in the country. This we attribute to the efficiency of our operations and our determined effort to manage our costs. These two indicators - operations efficiency and cost management - have given us the edge over our competitors in the business. LUECO is the flagship company of the Valero Group of Companies which has business interests in cold storage production and retailing, resort management and real estate development with combined assets of almost P400 million.

Our Offficers and Board of Directors are all accomplished individuals whom the company and the community hold in high esteem for their peerless record of competence, dedication, and personal integrity. Mr. Ambrosio L. Valero III Mr. Ambrosio L. Valero III, 56, is no exception. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting from the University of the East. He has a long and respectable experience in financing, auto dealership and insurance operations. He is a Director and Corporate Treasurer of the following corporations: La Union Electric Co., Inc., San Fernando Ice Plant, Inc., Valbros Realty, Inc., Olongapo Ice and Cold Storage, Inc., Villa Estrella Resort Hotel, Millennium Re Exchange and Lingayen Gulf and Estate, Inc. He is also a Director of Forefront Tours and Cruises, Inc.
